Houston, Texas · Dental Implants
Rebuild a complete, permanent smile.
We start with a full exam and a 3D CBCT scan of both arches to plan implant placement and decide which arch, or arches, need treatment. Any remaining failing teeth are typically removed at the same visit when possible, then implants are placed arch by arch under local anesthesia with sedation options. For qualifying patients, a temporary set of teeth can be attached the same day, so you're never without a smile. Once the implants fuse with your jawbone — generally a process of a few months — we place your final, custom bridge or denture. See the recovery timeline →
Full-mouth implants are for patients who need to replace all, or nearly all, of the teeth in one or both arches — from advanced decay, gum disease, failing dentures, or missing teeth. You'll generally need enough jawbone to anchor implants in each arch that needs treatment (or bone that can be rebuilt with grafting), plus good enough general health for a minor surgical procedure. Ready to trade a removable denture for a fixed, permanent solution? Compare implants vs. dentures → A free consultation and 3D scan confirms your exact plan.
Full-mouth cases are planned with 3D cone-beam (CBCT) imaging that maps both arches at once — bone volume, nerve position, and sinus location — so your surgeon can plan the upper and lower jaw together, not one arch in isolation. Final restorations are custom-milled from durable materials such as zirconia or an acrylic-and-titanium framework, matched to your bite and the rest of your smile.
Because full-mouth treatment can involve more than one arch, your surgeon walks you through a personalized timeline at your consultation. Most patients manage swelling and soreness over the first several days, then move to a soft-food diet while the implants fuse with the jawbone — generally a process of a few months before your final teeth are placed. A full set of implants across both arches generally runs about $30,000–$50,000 in Houston, while restoring a single arch — such as All-on-4 — typically starts around $20,000–$30,000 per arch. It depends on which arch, or arches, have failing or missing teeth — some patients need a full-mouth restoration on both the top and bottom, while others only need one arch, such as All-on-4. We determine this at your free consultation with 3D imaging.
All-on-4 is a specific fixed-bridge technique for restoring one arch on four implants. "Full-mouth implants" is the broader term for replacing all the teeth in the upper, lower, or both arches — which may use All-on-4-style bridges, implant-supported dentures, or a mix.
